What Is Electrostatic Disinfection and
how does it work?
Electrostatic Disinfection is one of the worlds innovative cleaning application methods currently used.
By adding an electric charge to the liquid droplets when they are sprayed causes the disinfectant droplets and the surface area to be drawn together and forming a 3D wrap around even coverage. This makes Electrostatic Disinfection an ideal application method to treat hard-to-reach, inaccessible areas, as well as high-touch surfaces and high risk areas that your employees, customers and visitors regularly come into contact with.
Why are traditional cleaning methods not enough in
the fight against infection control?
When it comes to cleaning surfaces and objects, traditional dry and wet dusting tends to be the first methods that come to mind. While these cleaning techniques are tried and true, they do little more than spread filth around, unless the rags used are washed regularly. Dry dusting kicks up resting particles, redistributing them into the air and onto other surfaces. Is It Safe?
Electrostatic disinfection will not harm you. The disinfectants we use are totally safe for people, animals and plants.
How Long Does it Take?
This will depend on the size of the area being disinfected. It is important to follow application instructions in order to meet kill claims. Also, because of the evenly spaced droplets due to the electrostatic charged particles, the solution dries very quickly. So there is no down time or loss of productivity to your business.
What Does It Smell Like?
The system we use has a light chlorine like smell.
How Long Do I Need To Wait Before Reentering The Room?
While your facility is safe to reenter immediately after it has been sprayed, we recommend waiting at least 10 minutes to allow the disinfectant to dry. This also allows enough time for the disinfectant to dwell on surfaces long enough to kill unwanted pathogens.
Do you wear PPE?
Our technicians wear gloves and masks which are suffice. This is not because of the chemical but because of the current government COVID-19 guidelines.
What chemical do you use?
We use a gold standard award winning solution of medical grade. We can decontaminate up to a log kill 6. This is 99.9999% decontamination. To put that into perspective some of the best off-the-shelf cleaning agents decontaminate to log kill 3, or 99.9%.
